Channel Island National Temporary Workers Week 2007

Local recruitment consultancy AP Group is celebrating National Temporary Workers Week by sending their temp of the year to Alderney!

Courtesy of Blue Islands and Healthspan the lucky winner will receive return flights for two to Alderney plus a night in the luxurious Braye Beach Hotel. Two runners up will each receive a bottle of bubbly and a choice of activity at Sausmarez Manor courtesy of Peter De Sausmarez.

All AP Group’s temps will be recognised during temp week with the temp consultants making a special visit to each and every one of the forty-five workers who are currently on assignment through either their finance or commercial desk. Each person will receive a gift package containing a bottle of red and a bottle of white wine to thank them for their hard work.

Chief Exec Miss Gina Le Prevost says its important that short-term workers are given the credit they deserve, ’temporary workers fulfil an invaluable role in the workplace throughout the year and are often overlooked, temporary workers week is just one week in the calendar where their work is celebrated,’ she says, ’we are delighted that Blue Islands and Healthspan have been so generous and I think this is indicative to the way temps are looked upon in the Islands.

You will be able to spot AP Group staff during the week as they will all be wearing tee-shirts with ’we ♥ our temps’ on, ’whether people temp in a gap year, in order to try out different workplaces or just because it suits their lifestyle they all make a valuable input into Guernsey’s commerce,’ Gina concluded.

National Temporary Workers week is an initiative run by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation. It is a yearly event to celebrate the work that temporary staff undertake. This year the week will run from 4^th to 8^th of June 2007.
